Oppo F15 Price Philippines 2022: Can It Beat The Redmi K20?
Oppo officially released the Oppo F15 at the beginning of 2020 in India. It is basically a rebranded variant of the A91 launched in China a few weeks earlier. Oppo F15 price Philippines 2022 now starts from as low as P2,208. To see if this phone is worth spending, check out our in-depth review.
Oppo F15 Price Philippines
The official price of the Oppo F15 in the Philippines was P15,733. But after three years, the price should have dropped by now.
Oppo F15 Design and Display
The F15 is designed to be quite thin and light. It is easy to grip and use even with one hand. However, it is slippery. There are two colors available including Lightning Black and Unicorn White.
In order to keep it lightweight, Oppo decided to go with a polycarbonate body. This is actually a letdown considering its competition offering glass and metallic builds at the same price point.
The device has an aspect ratio of 20:9, making it a perfect device for video streaming. The 6.4-inch AMOLED screen is quite bright and is viewable even when used under direct sunlight. The display is sharp and vibrant. However, the waterdrop style notch is quite irritating since it hides content when playing games or watching videos.
The 3.5mm headphone is still kept. And there is a separate microSD card slot. On the back, there is nothing except for the quad-camera module that creates a huge bump.
Oppo F15 Performance
The Oppo F15 has the same MediaTek Helio P70 processor used on the Oppo F11. The same chipset can also be found in cheaper smartphones like the Realme 3.
The device can easily handle daily tasks like making calls, replying to messages, browsing webs, and watching videos. The device also doesn’t show any overheating when gaming in the Medium graphics mode of PUBG Mobile, Asphalt 9: Legends, and Call of Duty: Mobile. But you are expected to experience some lagging here and there. The inbuilt Game Assistant is quite handy when gaming as it blocked all calls and notifications to prevent distractions.
The fingerprint sensor works fast and accurately. Face Unlock performs well as well.
Oppo F15 Software
Next in our review is software. Out of the box, the Oppo F15 runs Android 9.0 Pie with ColorOS 6.1.2 on top. If you haven’t used an Oppo device before, ColorOS isn’t something that you can quickly get used to. The UI comes with a bunch of pre-installed apps. Not only the bloatware, but you also keep receiving a lot of notifications of random apps. You will have to disable this in the Settings.
Oppo F15 Cameras
On the back of the phone is a quad-camera setup with a 48MP main camera, an 8MP wide-angle lens that also works as a macro camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP monochrome camera.
In good lighting conditions, the rear camera manages to produce detailed and vivid photos. The images look good enough to post on social media platforms without having to edit them. When taking HDR photos, the device is a bit slow to process.
The wide-angle sensor delivers punchy shots. However, compared to the main sensor, the details aren’t sharp. When using the wide-angle lens, if you move close to an object, the phone will automatically change to macro photography mode, resulting in good macro photos. The portrait mode works quite well offering decent edge detection.
The device, however, doesn’t perform well in low light conditions. Photos have poor details, quite a lot of noise, and washed-out colors. The Night mode helps out just a little bit but the image quality is still pretty much the same.
On the front is the 16MP camera that lacks a lot of features such as Night mode. When taking photos in good lighting conditions, the images come out pretty good but the skin textures are unnaturally smooth. If you don’t like this, you can turn off the beautification mode. Photos taken in low light conditions don’t have many details and have a lot of noise. Portrait mode isn’t as good as the cameras on the back. If you are a photoholic, check out the Oppo Reno 3.
Oppo F15 Battery
The battery life of the Oppo F15 is impressive. With incoming calls, messages, a few hours of watching videos on Youtube, and gaming, the phone can last the whole day. The smartphone also has VOOC 3.0 Flash Charge support. It only takes an hour and twenty minutes to charge the phone from about 7% to 100%.
