The Note 10 Plus is even bigger than the Galaxy Note 10. And it proves us wrong when we think that phone screens can’t get any bigger. Looking at the Note 10 Plus, it is easy to fall in love with the phone, thanks to its Aura Glow glass back and a massive 6.8-inch display. Samsung Note 10 Plus price Philippines 2022 starts at P60,990 for the 256GB version. Continue reading our review to decide whether to splurge your money on this device or not.
Samsung Note 10 Plus Price Philippines
When it was first released, the official price of the Samsung Note 10 was P60,990 for the version with 256GB. Meanwhile, the version with 512GB was more expensive, at P72,990.
Samsung Note 10 Display
The 6-8inch screen of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus is massive. It takes up the phone’s entire front. It also has an edge-to-edge design with pixels spilling over the two sides. The display is satisfyingly sharp.
Samsung has always been known to make screens with the pixel-dense resolution, high peak brightness, and punchy colors. Of course, the display doesn’t offer a 90Hz screen refresh rate like the OnePlus 7 Pro. And if you wrap your hand tightly around the screen, the curved edges produce false touches. But no other phone has a screen this good.
Is the 6.8-inch Note 10 bigger than a 6.5-inch iPhone? Not really. Samsung’s trick is to use a punch hole in the center to house embed into the display the front camera. It is less intrusive than the notch of Apple and 26% smaller than the S10’s top-right camera hole.
Samsung Note 10 Design
The phone is gigantic. And it can be slippery to hold. The Aura Glow color results in a love-hate relationship. It smudges so easily and so badly. But in the right light, it produces a mesmerizing rainbow effect. The Note 10 Plus is definitely a head-turner. With the streamlined screen and the small punch-hole camera, there is no room for the IR scanner. The Note 10 Plus comes with an ultra-sonic in-screen fingerprint sensor instead.
The power button is placed on the left side, combined with the Bixby button. The 3.5mm headphone jack is got rid of. Samsung goes with the USB-C port so you can use the USB-C headphones included in the box.
The secret weapon of the Note has always been the S Pen Stylus. The S Pen of the Note 10 Plus has some new tricks. The pen is shorter and thinner. You don’t have to turn the phone on to capture and notate screenshots. You already have the S Pen. You can also use Screen Off Memo to scribble down some notes.
Remote Shutter makes a return here. With the Bluetooth LE capabilities of the S Pen, it is the best way to take photos. New features include the accelerometer and gyroscope for more magic with “Air Gestures.”
The other new feature is improved handwriting recognition. If the Samsung Note 10 Plus is too expensive for you, check out Samsung Galaxy A10s price Philippines 2022.
Samsung Note 10 Plus Cameras
The Note 10 Plus comes with five cameras, four on the back, and one on the front. The 12Mp main camera produces bright and punch photos. Thanks to a Night Mode, photos look better in low-light conditions.
What stands out the most are the 16Mp f/2.2 ultra-wide and 12MP f/2.1 telephoto lenses. A VGA Depth lens helps in adding to photos “Live Focus” bokeh.
The other highlight is the small selfie camera on the front. With Live Focus filters, subjects really stand out.
Samsung Note 10 Plus Performance
Next in the review is the performance. The 10 Plus was among the fastest phones when it was rolled out. The 12GB RAM is more than enough for Dex desktop mode mirroring. The Note 10 Plus sports either an Exynos 9825 or Snapdragon 855 processor, depending on where you live. The phone managed to get a score of 10,849 in a GeekBench multi-score test. One more perk that the Note Plus has over the normal Note is the microSD card slot to expand storage if 256GB or 512GB isn’t enough for you.
Samsung Note 10 Plus Interface
With the clean One UI interface, most navigation options are on the bottom half of the screen. Everything is well-laid-out.
Samsung Dex offers a dock-free desktop view on the computer when you connect your Note 10 Plus with a Mac or PC. However, there is no good desktop edition for important apps like Samsung Notes.
Samsung Note 10 Plus Battery
The battery of the Samsung Note 10 Plus can last you more than a day. And compared to previous Samsung phones, it charges much faster.
With a hefty 4,300mAh battery, you can still have 20 to 30% left of battery with heavy use.
The phone supports 45W fast charging capabilities. However, you only get a 25W charger out of the box. With this, it will take around 70 minutes to charge the phone from 0% to 70%.
